Terms and Conditions

        Please be aware the contest rules have changed. The old contest rules for the monthly contest are no longer in effect. The new contest rules are as follows:

        This Contest will run from 12:00 am Pacific Standard time, August 15, 2006 to 12:00 am Pacific Standard time January 15, 2007.

        Prizes: First place winner will receive One Hundred Dollars. Currently no second or third place prizes. Winners will be required to show proof of age. If you don't win but Hold'em Humor uses your joke on the site you will be awarded $25.

        In order to qualify for the contest the joke or story must be related to poker. Please, serious entries only. Prank Jokes, Jokes that are incomplete, and jokes that do not appear to be jokes will not qualify for the contest.

        Jokes must not use profanity of any kind, must be relatively clean, and may not be disrespectful to people of certain race, sex, religion, etc. to qualify.

        Enter as often as you like, but you can only enter the same Joke or Story once.

        This contest is open to U.S. residents 18 years of age or older. Employees and immediate family members of The Hold'em Humor are not eligible to participate.

        Contest is governed by the laws of California. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited. Any action relating to this agreement must be brought in California and you irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction of its courts. YOU AGREE TO BRING ANY ACTION OR LEGAL PROCEEDING RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT IN CALIFORNIA AND IN NO OTHER JURISDICTION.

        All entries become the property of Hold'em Humor. We reserve the right to use your entry in all print and electronic media, and to edit it for brevity and clarity.

        Hold'em Humor reserves the right to terminate or modify this contest at any time in the event of any intervention with the promotion beyond the control of Hold'em Humor.

        Hold'em Humor will make every effort to notify the contest winners by mail, telephone, or email using the information provided. The winning jokes will be posted on the site in the "winning jokes" section of the site approximately 10 days after the contest ends. Ultimately it will be the sole responsibility of the winner to contact Hold'em Humor to claim their prize. If Hold'em Humor is unable to reach the winner within 90 days of when the joke is posted the prize will be forfeit and be awarded to the next runner up. (note: Jokes posted to the site may be altered slightly from the original joke submitted, if your joke is even close to the joke posted as the winner in the winning jokes section contact Hold'em Humor - you may be the winner).
